Greater Auburn Fire Safe Council

 

Purpose:  To educate the public regarding the dangers associated with living in a Wild land Urban Interface Area and to assist in identifying high-risk areas.  To provide a Community Fire Safe Plan for those areas covered by the Council.  To cooperate with all related public and governmental agencies to implement the plan.  To promote fuel reduction programs and projects which will provide a safer environment in the event of wildfires which may threaten the area.  The Council consists of a maximum of 11 members.  Four positions appointed by the Placer County Board of Supervisors, four by the City of Auburn and three by the local fire agencies.

Meeting Date: The fourth Monday of each month at Auburn City Hall, Rm #10
